  7. Lord thank you for this Day as it is day you made. Psalm 118 v 24 says this is the day the Lord has made. How true that is Lord. Help us thank you for every day we wake up to see another beautiful day in your world no matter what we are going through. Thank you Lord for our brothers and sister all over the world going through things that are not nice. Living were there are wars people starving. Help us that have food be thankful and pray for them that don’t. Or don’t have roof over there head that are homeless. Help us that have a roof over our heads be thankful. Love we remember those who are persecuted for know you. Some put in prison and mum that have there kids taken of them because they believe in you. Lord help us that don’t go through anything like this be thankful we can worship you freely. Thank you for the work of Derek Prince ministers and the work they do and the teaching they provide. Even trying to get it to the persecuted church. Thank you for the legacy Derek Prince left us all in the teaching of your word. Plus all who put it on line for us to read, send it to people email address and do the book work. Plus sell stuff that we can learn more about your word. I say Amen to this Lord.

  10. I really needed this devotion today as I pray constantly about so many things at my age in another week 78 years old. I never doubt God, but I am an impatient person and have been for many, many years, but I am learning to just keep on asking and I know God is always working behind the scenes and is teaching us as we wait. I have gotten much better at staying calm. I cannot lie. Some days I do have a “Sorrow Day” where I cry most of the day and pray, but these are much fewer since I was able to get my daily devotions. For 2 months, for some reason, I could not get them and I went down hill quickly. Finally a tech man came to take a look and it turned out that the modem that the managers here are connected to was damaged and they just did not fix it. It is a place that I should not have moved into. We have already gone through 2 sets of managers, both either just walked out or were asked to leave. Unfortunately, these new women have no experience with management. When I was working, I was a supervisor and then a manager for a very large corporation. I worked as a supervisor for 10 years in payroll for 300 truck drivers. I was very young and it was quite an eye opening experience. After they closed down, I did bounce around to 5 different jobs, but as God promised me and told me what to do when I was in my 20’s. I followed his instructions and sure enough after 19 years I was hired for what my “Dream Job”. I know that the Lord had something to do with this as He felt I was ready. Turned out I was a manager there for 35 years before I retired. When I think back on that, I saw that God knew when the time was right, so I am trying to always remember this. This is complicated in my mind as now I am in my late 70’s. Will I live to see the serious things I am wishing will happen? My son and daughter-in-law have refused to allow me to see my 1 grandchild since he was 11 and now at the beginning of October will be 15. That story is too long to write, but that boy is and always had been the love of my life. They tell him terrible things that I supposedly have done. They are all untruths and they intercept every card I sent to him, destroyed it before he got home from school so he never saw them. Checks and money were ripped up and thrown them away before he came home for school. My son has also said, to him, I am no longer his mother. So heartbreaking, but I go back to The Serenity Prayer and keep saying it as I need to find the Serenity to accept the things that I cannot change. Please, if you will, pray for me as that I am sure is what I need. I live alone and the loneliness does not help all these situations. Thank you for this wonderful devotion that I have already read twice. I will continue to do this as it has given me some more hope to lean into. I love all of you for providing me with these words every morning and I always read them after I get dressed for the day………………..They are something for me to cling to…….Betsy Basile

A second friend is in hospital (still) with stomach & colon issues from a buffet. He has been in 3 different hospitals. Was in a step down unit then put in ICU after removal of colon. Now back in step down. Hopefully going to rehab.

  14. Hello dear sisters. For years I’ve been reading “(in) courage” lifting up stories. It’s a daily must. I live in France, Haute-Savoie near Geneva (Switzerland). The message today struck me for resounding to my own life and prayers. Mother of 4 and 83 now, I struggle with prayer as I’m hoping for strong answer from our Father. One of my son was injured in a car accident at age 23 and left quadraplegic. The night of the accident, I remember thinking of the widow in the Scriptures who obtained justice through never stopping asking. I thought I could do it too for my boy. Of course he didn’t recover, but during these past 39 years (now 61 !) he’s been very courageous and finished medical school although he cannot practise. But today, proper help at the home he organised for his needs, our prayers don’t seem to bring to him the right helper and he is (as we are) so much worried and expecting answers. My husband died last december after 15 years of Parkinson desease, but many friends and family join me in my prayers. Please, sisters add strength to my patient hope that God will see him (Michel !) through. May god bless you all as I share your worries, Dany

  15. Praying to meet someone Special, I can talk/LAUGH/walk/travel with, maybe, live together like “Golden Girls”….getting older alone being an “old hippie” no family and no close friends, most died or moved away! THANKS

  16. I am asking prayer for all that are asking God for a breakthrough or miracle. Praying for those in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and hospitals. Praying for those getting an MRI, Ultrasound, or Mammogram, in that, their results will be negative. Praying for those battling covid and any diseases or illnesses. In Jesus name, amen.

  17. I am asking prayer for a Sister friend of mine. Her son is very sick and cannot work. His buddy comes to her house and brings marijuana. He and the son smoke it, and the son becomes very sick with throwing up for 4 or 5 days. She has asked the young man, so she says, to not bring the marijuana there. But he keeps doing it. She has a Granddaughter that is verbally abusive to her. God has blessed her with financial blessings. She has changed, because of having this amount of money every month. While she praises God and is a faithful every Sunday member of her church, the money has caused her to be a different person. Uppity somewhat. When she gets upset, she drink 1-2 bottles of wine. I pray God will remove the wine from her, and the things she’s let going on in her house, she will be able to address it and stop it. You cannot be your children’s “best friend”. A line has to be drawn where you take charge of your house, and some respect is shown to you.

  18. I ask for prayers for something I heard about recently, my mom said that one of her cousins’ houses caught fire and burnt down. I pray for healing and recovery in that loss of their home. I don’t have many details on it, only from a Facebook post.
Also, I just ask for some prayers for myself. I have developed a bad sinus cold and I ask for healing from it.
I also just want to pray for all the prayer requests in the comments below my comments and above my comment. There is a multitude of heavy hearts and I just pray that you are able to feel the Lord’s support with whatever you may be facing. Let His embrace, love, comfort and peace surround you. I pray that your needs are helped and met by and through the Almighty,
    Amen.

  19. I pray for all needs above .and ask for prayers for my husband who had a stroke in may, and for our 32 year old son. He is an addict, receiving help from a drug treatment center but 2 weeks ago, a very dear friend of his was fatally injured in a car accident- as a result of not treating her diabetes. I know he blames himself but she never asked for help in driving to the hospital. And last week, my nephew’s 1 month old daughter died. She was born 4 months premature and had many medical issues. And im officially retired, but I had to take a part time job to pay for food and medical supplies. I do suffer from clinical depression and severe anxiety. I pray every day for healing for my family and our world. And for all to be saved . Amen.

  20. These words are so true and powerful . I am always reminded to pray trust and wait on the Lord . As he is always faithful. In his time . ✝️
