  1. Beautiful devotional! I love this picture of being “safe in His arms”. A couple years ago when I was really struggling (even doubting my salvation due to condemning dreams) one of my good friends mailed me a book titled “Safe all Along”. It was a good book but I found so much comfort just in the title of the book. Thanks for sharing your testimony and heart on this topic- I love it!

  2. Jenny,

Loved the visual of you holding your children “safe”. No matter the storms that rage against us we are safe under the wings of God. He will protect His children.

Praying for Central Texas. May God send His love, peace & hope to everyone affected.

    Blessings 🙂

  3. Jenny,

I am so thankful for this beautiful truth wrapped in words and visuals that you have shared with us. I feel Jesus speaking to me.
Living in Kingwood, TX, 4 hours from Kerrville, TX, many of us locally are affected, by loss, and need to read this!

    Thank you for sharing!!
    God Bless you,

    AJ

  4. Jenny,

Even as an adult, darkness at night or the wee hours of the morning can usher in the need for comfort from our heavenly father! I’ll be 60 this year and I still need his comfort!

    Sending you summer joy,

    Lisa Wilt

  5. Jenny thank you for this Devotional you wrote what came to my mind was an old old song by Fanny Crosby who was made bind at 6 weeks old. Fanny wrote a song about being safe in the arms of Jesus. It a beautiful song. Fanny Crosby new from a certain age when she got saved she was safe in the arms of Jesus. We all are safe in the arms of Jesus. The words of the first verse of the song are so true for what you said about your Daughter and oldest Son squeezing up beside you showing you how much they love you. Then you as mother putting your arms around them to show them your love as mother and how much you love them. It is a bit like Fanny Crosby song Safe In The Arms Of Jesus
“Safe on his gentle breast there by his love overshaded, sweetly my soul shall have rest.” How true that is the words of the first verse of that song. We have rest and love in Jesus no matter if we go through something or we don’t. We can know we are safe in his arms. Jesus is there for us to help no matter what it is and to know we are safe. Like a Mother’s love for her kids. A Mother will try keep her kids safe in her arms like Jesus does for us all. Knowing a Mother is there for her kids always like Jesus is there for us. Is the best feeling in the whole world. We feel our Mother’s arms round us we know we feel safe. Jesus puts his arms around us we then know we are safe in his arms no matter what we go through. Because like a Mother’s love there is no greater love but our Saviour Jesus’s love is beyond anything we can imagine as his arms stretched out to everyone in love that is just amazing. I don’t have my Mum on earth anymore. But I do remember of I fell and cut my elbow or knee as child she kiss it and say all better now then put a plaster on it. Put her arms around me and my Sister’s if that happened to them too. Showing us her love for us letting us know we are loved it will be ok. Even though we’d cry as a child as it was sore when it happened. But know someone loved you and cared for you like your Mum who showed it by trying to make it all better and have you happy again and no more tears. Jesus does the same for us and he show us his love no matter what we go through. Jesus also wipes away our tears showing us he loves us. Will help us not to cry any more. Know we can go him in prayer and hand it over to him. I say Amen to that. Love Dawn Ferguson-Little Enniskillen Co.Fermanagh N.Ireland xx

  6. Thank you, Jenny!
I appreciate your encouraging words in reminding us that no matter the situation or circumstance, we are safe in His arms. Thank you, Jesus for being our Comforter!
