“One day Jesus told his disciples a story to show that they should always pray and never give up.”
Luke 18:1 NLT
This is the introduction to the Parable of the Persistent Widow (Luke 18:1–8), where Jesus paints a picture of persistent, faith-filled prayer. The point of the story is that if even an unjust judge eventually responds to persistent requests, how much more will our loving, just Father respond to those who keep coming to Him in prayer without losing heart.
Jesus shared this story to encourage us to see prayer not as a last resort, but as a way of life — a rhythm of returning to God again and again. It reminds us that our persistent prayers matter, not because we wear God down, but because we grow closer to His heart. Every time we choose to pray, we are leaning into His goodness and learning to trust Him more deeply, one conversation at a time.
Summer is here, with its long, bright days and gentle breezes — and it reminds us that every season holds its own invitations from God. One of those invitations is to draw near to Him in prayer. Jesus told His disciples to always pray and never give up, because He knows how easily we grow weary in waiting.
Maybe you’ve been praying the same prayer for years. Maybe you’re waiting for an answer you can’t quite see yet. Wherever you find yourself today, God hears every whispered request, every tearful plea, every silent sigh of your heart.
He never grows tired of hearing from you.
And here’s the beautiful truth about prayer: we don’t have to strive or craft perfect words — we simply come as we are. Trusting in His perfect timing, knowing that our prayers never go unnoticed by our faithful Father. Even when His answer looks different than we expected, His timing is never too early and never too late.
So today, as you savor summer’s light, would you take a moment to draw close to God in prayer? Bring Him your hopes, your fears, your longings. Keep praying, friend, and don’t give up. Let’s make this a sacred space where we can encourage one another in prayer.
Your turn: Leave your prayer request in the comments. And before you go, would you also take a moment to pray for the woman who commented before you?
Let’s come alongside one another and trust that God is moving powerfully — even in the waiting.

My daughter has acquired hemophilia (diagnosed at age 24-not sure how) and an autoimmune disorder that she is trying to get diagnosed. I am praying for a miracle of complete healing, and honestly am having a hard time continuing to believe. So pray for her, but also for me.
Praying for you and your daughter, Paige!
Dear Lord, we are asking for a miracle for Paige and her daughter. Please send physical healing as well as strength, peace, and encouragement. Help them to grow closer to You as they look to You in this situation. Increase their faith and help them to realize Your great love to us.
Paige,,
Jehovah Rapha please send your healing touch to Paige’s daughter. Give the doctors a discerning mind to diagnose the autoimmune disease. Send peace, strength & love to both mom & daughter. Help them keep the faith. In Jesus Name AMEN.

Please pray for my family — that God would provide a job for my husband and our family’s financial needs; that God would restore our marriage of 17 years, which feels dangerously close to unraveling due to the years of stress from work, parenting and other things we’ve prioritized over the time to invest in ourselves as a couple. And please pray for my faith — I feel alone, sad and disappointed with where I am, what has happened in our lives and the prayers God didn’t answer as I hoped. Please pray my faith will not fail.
Dee, I pray our God will meet you where you are in your financial and relationship needs.
May your faith continue to sustain you and be renewed by the assuredness the Holy Spirit will guide you in your daily walk.
Blessings,
Kathleen
Dee,
Jehovah Rapha Dee needs your help in a mighty way. Please provide a good job for husband. Help them meet their financial needs. Restore their marriage. Bring them back to why they got married. Show them how to invest in each other. Strengthen the faith of both. Keep them trusting in you to be their rock. Give them your peace, grace & love. AMEN
Blessings 🙂
Paige praying for complete healing for your daughter and peace that passes all understanding for you. God is faithful and He hears our prayers. He loves you and your daughter. God bless you. Sharon A.
Please lift up prayers for my son’s sentencing on July 11th. He’s rejected an unjust plea deal and is at the mercy of the court.
I will be praying for you son, Donna. God can work through that court, through all of these events he/you are experiencing to bring change and a future filled with the bright tomorrows.
A prayer request for a friend (widow in her late 80’s, bent over, literally in half, with back injuries/pain). Even tho she does have a neighbor who checks on her morning & nite & helps with a few errands, she is still alone most of the day/nite. She falls often & ends up in ER more and more. We have chatted about a move to assisted living or even more regular, daily companionship & help, but so far she will not consider . . .
Please pray for me and my daughter. Because of our past relationship experiences, we are finding it difficult to trust again, which makes it challenging to trust God completely. Our desire are to be in loving committed relationships, however, we are afraid to take a chance or another first step and that has led to isolation, loneliness and depression.
Dear Father in Heaven, would you please come restore and heal what has been broken in Nicky and her daughter’s lives through the difficult relationships they have had, would you come give them courage to trust again and to take the little steps you show them. Thank you that You are redeeming their story and I trust with them for safe, healthy and beautiful new relationships. In Jesus name, Amen.
I just want to say that the prayer requests of the women who have come before me this morning have brought me to tears. I often look at strangers and I feel like everyone’s life is better or easy. That they don’t have problems. I’m sure I’m not the only one who has felt this way. The sad part about this way of thinking is that it makes us feel isolated and maybe even scared to share with others what’s really going on in our lives. I’m reminded once again that sin has left this world broken but one day it will all be made right. Cling to Jesus…he never leaves you alone. I will be praying for each of you.
I had a very difficult week, my beloved cat is very ill, a dear family friend suddenly was diagnosed with an incurable disease and a few other little upsetting things happened, I trust God and I know He will work this for good but I just feel like I am at the end of my own strength.
Father God, please remind Barbara of your words in Isaiah 40:29, “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the week.” Barbara, please let the love of Jesus carry you during this time. “Look to the Lord and His strength; seek His face always. “‘-Psalm 105:4
Please pray for Gabrielle to be free from her drug and alcohol addiction. That she will experience the love of Jesus and realize that she is worthy because of Him and the ultimate sacrifice that He made to redeem her.
Lord, please show Gabrielle how much You love her and help her to totally trust and depend on Jesus. Please be with Ann as she ministers to Gabrielle.
I’m currently going through a divorce with a severe alcoholic, I’ve endured narcissistic abuse during the course of our marriage. I prayed and prayed for God to make a way but things kept getting worse and unsafe for myself and kids. Despite knowing God does not want me in an abusive marriage, I still hold on to a sliver of hope for his life. He is estranged from his son, doesn’t go to work, drinks and drives and in and out of hospitals. It’s devastating.
I remember the great promise and joy I felt when we married and now all i feel is sadness and I’ll admit I’m upset with God. I feel like I was being punished. Please pray for him and for me to find peace.
Lord, please give Kate Godly wisdom to make the choices that she needs to for herself and her family. We pray protection over all of this family and ask that You deal with her husband and draw him to You.
Please pray for my sons’ hearts to be guided our Heavenly Father, freed from their heavy burdens, and be lifted to a place of forgiveness and renewal of a loving, open spirit. Amen!
Lord, please be with Kathleen’s sons and draw them to you. Bring healing to this family.
I send prayers of strength to the lady before me as feels like she’s at the end of her own. May she be reminded that God’s strength is made perfect in our weakness. Trust that God is able to do just what He said He’s going to do.
I just celebrated another birthday (Thank God, 37)! My grandfather was diagnosed with Stage 4 Adenosarcoma within the last 2 weeks, my uncle passed away suddenly last week and I am healing from a major surgery. Through all of that I still find joy to smile and know that God is in control of all things. I shared to say, life will throw curve balls often, but our faith must be rooted and grounded in Christ Jesus, no matter what the circumstances look like. I pray I can encourage someone on here today to know that our Father in Heaven sees your heart and it’s going to get better, whatever it is. Find rest in Him today! It’s yours.
Please remember all of those affected by the flooding tragedy in the Hill Country of Texas. I ask you pray for comfort for the families that have lost loved ones and for all of the rescue workers continuing to search for victims and clean up.
For my sister, Joanie, who at such a young age of 61, has been going through stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Please pray that whatever God’s will be done, be done in a matter of peacefulness, humaneness and grace. Please pray for her husband and 2 boys. Please pray for us, all of her siblings (7 of them).
Lord, I come to you on behalf of Dee. God, you alone know the most intimate details of her requests and the thoughts that plague her mind, and we put it all
on the altar before you.
Lord Jesus, remind her of the words you spoke in Matthew 6:26 that call our attention to how you care for the birds of the air and love us that much more. Please help her remember that you will meet her needs during this difficult time. Lord, allow your provision to unfold how you see fit and may there be abundance and overflow, not just financially but in all areas of her life.
May Dee be filled to overflowing in her faith. God, we know all we need is a mustard seed faith to move mountains (Matt 17:20), so deepen her roots in you so that her faith may be recharged in a way she’s never experienced. Remind her that she is never alone. Allow her to feel your loving presence enveloping her moment by moment. Please help her to remember that there is no height or depth of life where you are not. (Psalms 139:8)
May Dee and her husband be able to come together to prioritize their marriage and do the work necessary to bring them closer than ever. Lord, knit their hearts to one another. May they remember why you’ve placed them together as partners. Help them focus on you individually and collectively so that they can grow together in the ways that you have called them to and strengthen their bond as husband and wife. May they remember your words in Mark 10:8-9.
God, we know that while Dee may feel overwhelmed by everything going on and even disappointed at where things are, remind her that your plans for her are far greater than she has even imagined if she continues to abide in you, Lord, as you remind us in John 15:5.
God may Dee continue to take all of these challenges to You daily. May she never tire of bringing her desires to her Heavenly Father, knowing how much you care for her. Renew her spirit now and build her up on every leaning side. In Jesus’ sweet and matchless name.
Amen

Want to do Gods will. Worry about meeting my financial needs. Want to forgive those that abused me.
Lord, I lift up PT to you right now. I know God that you see our hearts and she is saying that she wants to do your will. Please guide and direct her steps in the ways you will have her to go. Protect her and give her wisdom. Help her to know and experience the truth of who you are and that you are trustworthy and faithful. Help her to see your faithfulness and love in all areas, spiritual, financial, emotional, as she is trying to walk in obedience to you. Lord, I ask today that you would place the exact people in her life to show her your love and to speak words of life into her. Lord, I ask right now that you would help her through the work of forgiveness. Keep her heart soft before you and help her to see those who have hurt her as you see them, someone in desperate need of a Savior. Help her know that you are her defender and a place of refuge. Protect her from any further harm and help her to heal so she might be used by you to help someone else going through something similar. God, I thank you for her life and may she feel surrounded by your love and peace today
My marriage needs a miracle. I have been married for 25 years and my husband has made the choice to walk away from his faith and our family. He is a believer but is running from God right now. I’m praying that the truth would become louder than the lies and that he would feel conviction over condemnation. I pray that he would experience Gods love in a new way and that he will come to a place of surrender. The kids and I are heartbroken but we know that God is faithful and He won’t leave us here. We will heal and find joy again. I want restoration for my family. I want my husband to come back to God and be the man that God has called him to be. My kids want their dad back. Thank you for taking the time to come to the Lord on our behalf. I am forever grateful.
Faith247, as I pray for you, I am reminded of the movie by the Kendrick brothers called War Room. It has been a great encouragement to me so I hope you and your family can see it.

My daughter, though a believer, gave up her husband and child for her own dream to be free. We, as grandparents are trying to be the mediators and helpers alongside the care of everyone. We’re so broken and hurt in our spirit. Pray God to cause changes in hearts and redeem my daughter and her relationship with her family. She’s lost but also wants to get her own dream true her way. Please keep us in prayers.
Please pray for my family, my adult son had another seizure yesterday while we are vacationing in Colorado. He has brain tumors (cancer) and epilepsy and we have adjusted part of our plans and would like him to be able to enjoy his time here…. His first brain tumor was found 16 years ago, when he was 8. We are blessed and grateful for the time we have with him and he is a faithful follower of Jesus He continues to be an inspiration to us and many others. May you all have a blessed day ☮️

Heavenly Father,
I pray you will be with Amy right now and that you would give her your peace that passes all understanding. Be with the medical staff on Tuesday. Give them wisdom and guidance. We pray you will be with Amy through the wait as sometimes that’s the most difficult. I pray you place people around her to love and encourage her and help her to not feel alone. Ultimately we pray the results would be good and that there would be no invasive cells, however, if you answer is different help Amy to cling to you in trust knowing you are in control of everything. You see her and you love her. Amen
