When we invited you to join us and share your One Word for 2015, we had no idea that we would be choosing winners for our giveaway from nearly 1,000 of you! Reading about the words God has put on your hearts and the stories behind them gave us such joy all week.
The image above? Those are your words — a beautiful tapestry of God’s call on your lives this year. The larger the word, the more frequently it appeared in the comments, and we loved watching as you connected with one another over a shared word.
Speaking of our Letterpress Block giveaway, we mentioned that we would have one winner for every 100 comments — which means 9 of you have been randomly chosen to win a set of Letterpress Blocks! And the winners are…
- Comment #114 – MrsC
Congratulations, friends! Look for an email from us with all the details on how to claim your prize. And know that we are praying for every one of you who commented, that we would all have eyes and hearts open throughout the year to how God is using the words He gave each of us.

I know I’m late on posting this but my one word for the year is love. Feel God calling me to let Him love and have me. Instead of fighting His love embrace and accept it. Receive love as well as give it. My one word ties in with the devotional book I’m reading by Joyce Meyer, Love Out Loud. The devo is 365 days. Perfect! A year long devo focusing on love. Pray for me. That I’ll embrace God’s love fully and not give in to feelings of worthlessness.

Obviously I realize that the giveaway is past. I’m just commenting because I enjoy telling people my word (it’s actually a phrase this year). Mine is: Discover the Light of His Love. It combines last year’s word (discover) with two things that God has made near and dear to me, light and love. I’m noticing a lot of people with the word love this year. I’m not sure if I am noticing it because it’s one of my words or if I am noticing it because more people have it this year. Anyhow, congrats to all the winners!

I am new to One Word. My word is unhinged. I am recovering from a total knee surgery.
Physically, I was unhinged. The primary goal in recovering from this surgery is pushing through the “scar tissue” which keeps my knee from locking up impeding it from bending as designed.
With quiet consistence, He asked me if I would remain unhinge. Would I remain open, submitted? Would I allow Him to bend, stretch and heal parts of my heart locked up because of old scar tissue? Now, I have two physical therapists. He is everything. He is faithful.

I am new to this, too. But over the last few weeks a very small cut out paper star ( a home made card reject) keeps appearing even though I have thrown it in the bin twice! I finally got the message that my word should be SHINE and I have now ‘captured’ the star in a see-through lidded box. Imagine my delight when our Minister used this word several times in yesterday'[s sermon.

My One Word is “Loved” but God also added “Capable” (because he knew I needed it)!

I have never been good with this one word thing, but 2015 is the year! I am having a hard time coming up with just one, so here is what I came up with:
ConsitantJoyForgivenessAdventure or CJFA

I found an educational blog where you posted your “one word” but missed yours! “CHANGE” – because you are never too old and I have a couple decades on probably all of you. It’s hard to change when you are older. But until we walk into that new Kingdom, God will change me moment by moment, twinkling and terrifying at times. Oh! it may be a big moment like this very January 13 a few years ago changed my life forever and my God was so in one of the biggest losses of my life. But it’s in the little million moments this year where God will show up like Genesis 28:16 and we will not even be aware of it. May we all set our faces like flint for our God is on the move in 2015 to change all of us from glory to glory. Love your blog!

my OneWord is EXTRAordinary! I want to show God’s love in extraordinary ways in 2015.

is there a 9th “one word” ? I asssuem the words listed are the winners. did I miss something?
Mary says
Pam, I am the “missing word” 9th winner. As I wrote in my comment on the original blog entry page, I am still waiting to decide on the very best word for me this year. My word last year was “release” which has served me so well… but I want a new word to find me for 2015, not just recycle the one from last year.

Is there a way to just print out just the text and not the photos/art work, of these in-courage messages? My hope is to put them in a three ring binder so that I may have them organized and handy for reference in my personal studies.
They contain a huge treasure box of God’s truth. I want to spend more time reading and reflecting, studying the references than is possible off the computer screen.
What a blessing. Thank you to each writer.

Wow I love this idea. I know I am late posting this, but my one word for this year is joy. I choose to walk in joy no matter what I encounter. Yes the joy of the Lord is my strength. Joy, joy God’s great joy.
