Layers

Welcome to my studio! I thought it might be fun to give you all a peek into my studio and into the creative process of some of my work. I’ve been busy having fun creating and experimenting. It’s always fun to try new things and see where they take you. Everything begins with a blank canvas that is just full of possibilities!

These new pieces are full of layers. Layers fascinate me. I find such beauty in them.

Each layer has a purpose. Each layer adds a bit of color, pattern and dimension. They add beauty and interest.

Using one layer would never have the same outcome. I need the many layers to come together to create beauty in one painting.

The beauty is built up. Some layers are less visible, yet they make a difference.

Each layer matters. They are important to the whole. Without those layers, you wouldn’t have the beauty and complexity of the complete piece.

Very much like God’s work in us.

Our experiences are layers of colors. Our journeys are layers of patterns.

We are God’s beautiful masterpiece. And we have so many more layers to come. More wonderful, complex, life changing, beautiful layers to come!
