“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”
At (in)courage, we empower women to be like Jesus. Our writers share what’s going on in their life and how God’s right in the middle of it. They bring their joys & struggles so that you can feel less alone and be empowered by the hope Jesus gives.
One of my favorite Scriptures is Psalm 37:4…“Delight yourself in the LORD; and He will give you the desires of your heart.” I discovered a wonderful acronym for the word, “delight,” which helps encourage me…

What a beautiful acronym I plan to memorize. When we or the older ladies we love and admire tire of being that port of welcome and cease to see the honor of gatherings, perhaps because of innapropriatnesses, strife or kinder boundaries of respect needing to grow, it helps to hold those people and situations in prayer and wait on God rather than losing our heart, our faith and our temper or peace.
Great encouragement for Sunday, thx!
Great encouragement for today, thx!
When we or the older ladies we love and admire tire of being that port of welcome and cease to see the honor and privelege of gatherings, perhaps because of innapropriatnesses, or kinder boundaries of respect needing to grow, it helps to hold those people and situations in prayer and wait on God in our hurt rather than losing our heart, our faith and our temper or our peace.

Encouraging one another is so very important! I am off to meet a friend before church to encourage her as she is going through a very difficult and painful time. She is the one who encouraged me during my tough times. I love how the Lord uses even our painful times in good ways. May we never become so isolated but reach out to others with the gift of encouragement and love.
A great Scripture for today–thanks so much! And I LOVE the Delight acronym–Daily Everything Laid Into God’s Hands Totally–that inspires me so much! Thank you so much for that, Beth Willis Miller! Blessings to all!

Loved the scripture! Encouragement is, I believe, my gift of the Holy Spirit. I try daily to encourage people in various ways. There have been times when I, myself, need encouragement! This is one of God’s best gifts to us humans@!

Thank you for the acronym. I shared it with my teenage daughters to write inside the cover of their bibles. I love to post these encouraging thoughts around my own home.
