  1. I loved this it could have been worse. I needed to hear these bueatiful words. You are so right Jesus could have rebelled and never died on the cross but he did not . That would have been changed every moment of joy and greatfulness God has given us.

  2. Such Truth. What beautiful worship in your telling of it.

Bella, I just so much enjoy what you have to say, and I want to encourage you to *keep on*…let Him shine through you. And let Him show you His purposes for you, even in the smaller moments of His Grace-giving.

As much as I try to avoid the “breaking,” I am {still} learning to trust that even *this* has purpose.

Rich blessings in your own trusting in the breaking…

  3. Bella:
I read this and smiled. God used you today to calm my anxious heart. Indeed, life breaks, over the last 3 months I discovered through a battery of tests that my liver is “broken.”
Today, we have a scheduled liver biopsy to find out just how much it is broken and I so needed to hear from Father God.
Thank you so much for being beautifully transparent and willing to write what He gives you.

  4. I always say, when God restores what’s been wounded and/or broken, He does more than just put it back together, He makes it better than before, He’s the Potter, we are the clay, He’s the Master artist, we are the workmanship of His hands!

  5. This writing was brilliant except for one tiny sentence which is troubling me, “The world is designed to injure.” What do you mean by that? ‘Cause I am here thinking that when God created the heavens and the earth it was good. But after the Fall every thing changed, so that even the creation now groans. Like I said, I’m not sure what that sentence means.

    • Drey,
I totally get where you are coming from. I didn’t mean that God designed the world to injure, but that through our (man’s) sin and rebellion, the world and the people in it can and do injure us. Does that make sense?

I also feel like ijnury and pain can be an amazing route to God. I am glad and thankful for my hurt and my wounds, because they made me reach for my Healer. Without injury, would I have longed to be healed?

I hope that this makes more sense to you, and I thank you for your question, because it made me think alot too. 🙂

  6. I stumbled across this devotional thru an Iphone app. This is one of my favorite commentaries reminding me that there’s always a Higher Power working all the time to take care of us.
