  1. Ahhh … that’s my main wall as well. When every year begins I ask God what He wants to show me in the coming year and I give my year a word. This year my word is selfless … and God has showed me a TREMENDOUS amount about my selfishness, but I have a long way to go. Like you said … I’ve been living for myself for 39 years … that’s a huge wall to demolish. Thanks for sharing that it’s a wall. It certainly is and I hadn’t thought of it that way. Reading this post is yet another way that God is working with me to slowly, but steadily tear down this wall 🙂

    • Heather-
Such a strong wall it is but not as strong as our God, right?! Praying for you girl as we tear down these walls together! Thank you for sharing your heart!

    • I pray in the name of Jesus for those walls of fear and doubt in Jessica’s life to be completely demolished so she can experience Your freedom and hope Lord. Thank you for her openness and her heart to place these at Your feet. You alone can bring us joy. Thank you Jesus.

      Amen

  2. I have many walls, last inches of walls I have not been able to tear completely down. Bitterness, control,no patience, anger, hurt etc.etc……….I pray almost everyday for these last pieces to be demolished and I do believe I am making progress, but having someones else pray would be wonderful!!

    • Father,

I pray right now for Cat as she continues to turn over the hurt and pain in her life. We ask for victory for Your glory over these situations and that Cat would feel Your presence guiding her as she moves past these walls. Thank you for faithfulness and for your precious daughter Cat.

      In Jesus’ name, amen.

  3. I love that He spoke to you during worship! This reminds me of Galatians 2:20 – we have been crucified with Christ, it is no longer I who lives but Christ in me! Love this tender moment Erin!

  4. Oh, that is a TOUGH one isn’t it? I’ve been learning that one in a big way in this first year of church planting. It is sometimes painful to just say no to ourselves!

Beautiful and gentle reminder, thank you Erin!

    Blessings,
    Melissa

  5. I think one reason God gave me a husband and three children was to reveal that same hidden wall of selfishness in me. It’s painfully obvious now, and needs to be demolished.
