Rainy Day Card by DaySpringIf you linked up Safe Haven yesterday you won the Celebrate tea towel and Crisp posy pin set so send us an e-mail at incourage@dayspring.com!

September 12th is the National Day of Encouragement.

And we’re inviting you to join us in celebrating it!

We want to give you a free pack of ten cards from DaySpring’s new Hope and Encouragement line (almost $30 retail value).

In return, we’re simply asking you to stop by on September 12th and share a story about how you used one of the cards to encourage someone else.

You’ll be able to do so by 1) writing a post on your blog that day and linking it up 2) leaving a comment. Do either and you’ll be entered to win $500.

The entire Hope and Encouragement line just became available in Christian bookstores like Family Christian and LifeWay. These cards mean a lot to us because they started right here.

You know how we pray for each other sometimes? Well, DaySpring’s team (I’m part of it) read your requests and prayed for you. Really.

And when we created the cards, we did so with your heart, your needs, and real women like you in mind. Like this one (design above)…

Life is hard sometimes—
crazy, mixed-up, messed up.
And there you are, in the middle of it all,
just doing your thing…
being strong and brave and beautiful
like it’s no big deal.

But let me tell you, girl, it is.
Not everyone can do what you can do.
Not everyone can handle things the way you can.
While you wonder sometimes if you’re doing OK…
the rest of us are just watching in wonder.

Be strong and let your heart take courage, all you who hope in the Lord. PS 31:24

To get your free pack of ten cards, we’re using the honor system. If you’re committed to sharing a story on September 12th, send an e-mail to webcare@dayspring.com. Include your name, address (US only), and “Hope and Encouragement card pack” in the subject line. Then leave a comment below this post saying you did. The first 400 people will receive a pack.

So here’s a quick recap: Let us know you want a free card pack by doing the above. Then on the National Day of Encouragement (Sunday, September 12th) you’ll share a story about how you used one of the cards to encourage someone else by 1) writing a post on your blog that day and linking it up – 2 entries or 2) leaving a comment – 1 entry. When you share your story, you’ll be entered to win $500.

Yep, you really did read that right. DaySpring is sponsoring $500–half will be for you and the other half will go to a charity of your choice. Woo-hoo! The winner will be announced on Monday, September 13th. And there will be another big surprise on (in)courage that day too!

We’re so grateful for the first year of (in)courage and all we’ve gotten to share with you. Now we’re looking to the future and feeling so excited about what else God is going to do!

The best is yet to be!
