i am so blessed to have 4 sisters and 3 sisters-in-law
that i love. and that love me back.
and i also have a handful of amazing girlfriends.
friends so close, they become sisters.
that are happy to recommend the new (and best) mascara
they will talk with me and listen to me (even if i go on and on…)
and share a dessert or maybe two.
they laugh with me and cry with me
and they understand my heart and my struggles.
sisters who love me even if i don’t return their phone call right away
or when i’m grumpy or in a funk.
i’ve been so incredibly blessed to find a soul connection
with sisters i met in college or at church
or through another friend or even online (gasp!).
it doesn’t happen every day, but when i find a true sister,
i cherish her.

Oh yes, I have a friend who has become a sister…she allows me to be a real auntie to her children, she reminds me of who I am when I am broken and she allows me to love her and her children which is actually more of a gift to me than it is to them…
