It is relentless and it really does cause us to come to the end of ourselves before we can sing with abandon “Amazing Grace!” I am so acutely aware of my own battle to be worthy and to hang on with every shred of strength right now as I face ongoing behavior and emotional problems with one of my daughters (adopted from foster care). The battle and the reality you shared in your beautiful words so truly describes my heart…

  3. I wrote this poem during a time of crisis several years ago. I’m thankful now to have fully embraced the last verse and fallen into grace. It’s a good place to be. Thanks for your comments, friends, and I pray that you too will fall (or have fallen) into grace.
