  1. Jami, I love this example of God’s constant love for us! I’m also very impressed with the note writing! Written communication is a seemingly lost art. It’s all short hand emojis & words flung at one another. I’m being nudged to write cards/notes of encouragement to my loved ones. To get a non-bill or ad in the mail is such a delight. Just hope no one corrects mine before replying! :~} But if I need it may they love me enough to correct it!!!

  2. Eyes leaking now. Thank you. I needed this reminder that I am not a poor excuse of a Christian because I doubt. Thank you for reminding who I am to my Father.

  3. I love this, Jami! What a wonderful response you made! My girls are all grown now, but I remember these sorts of days very well. Three daughters. They knew what words could wound. But they are now loving mothers of their own daughters. So they might have felt loved as well. By me and by our heavenly Father.

  4. Thank you for this reminder about how God loves us even when at times we behave as your eleven year old did. I love the way you responded. I raised four children so experienced many similar situations over the years. Sadly, there were many times I failed to respond with the compassion you showed your daughter.

  5. Needed this today as a daughter of the most high King and as a mama to the three precious daughters he has entrusted to me ❤️

  6. So, so good. A reminder I need and some wisdom to tuck into my back pocket for when I will (soon) encounter this with my daughter.

  7. Beautifully written. Thank you for sharing a piece of your heart to enrich mine. Been there (am there) and you articulated it so well. Going to remember the crossing-out-words and correcting business. That’s brilliant!

  8. Jamie,

What a beautiful way to express God’s love for us. Often times people, including me, say/do things we regret-usually due to frustrations or tiredness. Then comes shame for what was done. Great news is that we can go to God for forgiveness. His grace & mercy is new everyday. It doesn’t matter what we’ve done or said. Sin is sin & He stands ready to forgive. The same should be true for us with our family. Thank you for a great devotional today.

    Blessings 🙂
