  1. In my statistics class we knew the joke that there are little white liars, bald faced liars & then statisticians. But statistically speaking none of us are right 100% of the time is not a lie! What grand comfort that our God is right 100% 24/7/365 from eternity past to eternity future! He is not like us & that is a humbling comforting truth! Thanks for sharing Tyra. I for one will be asking God what He wants to talk about more often starting today! Blessings. (((0)))

    • Ruth,

How funny. My husband always says, 80% of statistics are made up” – which he made up. But God never makes up anything. Thanks for sharing. It is humbling to ask the Lord what He wants to talk about. Love your perspective.

  2. Good morning.
This reflection really made me stop and think this morning. I talk or walk with our God every morning (truth here: or at least I try to as some days it doesn’t quite work out that way and I notice it later on). Most times the conversation will be about my life, my work, my decisions, my family, my friends, and prayers or thoughts of/for others. Did you notice the “my”? Not that the conversations aren’t beautiful and prayers are answered (in God’s time), but today I’m going to sit in my quiet place and ask God what He wants to talk about. Thank you for this. Have a lovely day.

    • Linda,

Gosh, the Lord is sweet and so kind and He does desire to talk with us about us, but sometimes He has things to say that we won’t even ask about. I love that you’re going to start adding that into your quiet time. ❤️

  3. Dear Tyra……I found your devotion to give me some things that I never thought about before. I pray so often, but it is mostly about ME and my life. I never thought of asking God what He wants to talk about, so I certainly will add this seemingly so important to getting at the truth. For years, if I thought I did tell God things I thought I should not have said or done and asked for forgiveness. I have frequently also asked Him if I had done something wrong as I keep getting hit with serious situations, but I also now know from your wonderful devotions from the (in)courage tightly knit community that it doesn’t necessarily mean that I did not tell the truth, but God has challenged me to help with my spiritual growth. While these situations are very serious, I am working hard on telling Him everything that really did happen. I realize it might take some time to hear back, but my Holy Spirit always nudges me in the right direction and I always send my ” gratitude and love to Him. I DO believe that this devotion, Tasha, is important for everyone to read and really think about your wise words, Tasha. I have to say and this is the TRUTH, I learn something every day that I did not know before and are important to know so I add them to my spiritual growth. Those of us who are so busy like most people, sometimes don’t know these things and they are crucial to our continuing spiritual growth. Thank you Tasha for your wise story with so much that personally I have learned much from your devotion. I send my love and prayers to you for sharing this with us. I really like the fact that we should find a quiet space and ” ask God what He wants to talk about.” I will accept this is something I NEED to do. Your Friend,….Betsy Basile

    • Betsy,

I cannot wait for you to be 100% honest with the Lord and Him shine even more grace on you. You’re going to love whatever He has to say. He is for you.

      Tyra
