“They will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord.
Jeremiah 1:10 (NIV)
God calls Jeremiah to be a prophet during a time of upheaval in Israelite history. God says, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.” But Jeremiah is unsure of himself saying, “I do not know how to speak; I am too young.”
Isn’t this how so many of us feel right now as we lead our homes, our churches, our communities? As we try to facilitate important conversations at our tables and online or make decisions that impact others far and wide? As we try to explain to our children what’s happening and figure out how to best care of our aging parents and medically fragile family members?
In the midst of all those concerns, God says to us, “Do not be afraid; I am with you.”
So when what’s before us seems over our head, let’s hold on to this promise today: God is with me when I am afraid.

In Courage,
Most of us have never lived in times like these. It is hard to manage your life when everyone & everything around you is in panic mode. As Christians we can take heart for God is with us. He will never leave nor forsake us. He will guide & direct our paths. My family’s life wasn’t changed much at first. We did basically same routine minus church. Almost a month ago our hospital company had another round of furloughs. He got the hit. It was hard for him as he’s never had to deal with anything like this in 31+ years of working for them. Fortunately we were able to get cares/Covid money. That helped his mood for a while. He found out co-workers getting slammed (CT). I was getting a little worried that maybe we should think of moving. He texted boss yesterday & he will find out today when/if he gets to go back. My ultimate prayer of guide our steps. Give us wisdom to make right choices was answered. Take heart God is with you during these trying times. Just take a little time each day & commune with Him.
Blessings 🙂

It bring me back to the song I learned as child at Sunday School. It teaches me not be afraid. But also go into Prayer and get into God Word the Bible and Stand on the Promises in Gods Word the Bible and apply them to my life. Like in Lamentations says in Chapter 3 versers 21, 23, and 23 Yet I still dare to hope when I remember this: The unfailing love of the Lord never ends! By his mercies we have been kept from complete destruction Great is his faithfulness his mercies begin afresh each day. I say Amen to that. The Song is He Got The Whole World In His Hands. That I was taught at Sunday School. You get on youtube. So we don’t need to be afraid. Great is God faithfulness. He Got Me And You In Hands just like the song. Love the reading. Xxx
