  1. Laura, those lines from the book of Ruth are so special to me. I see how important it is for women to support each other in all walks of life no matter age, background, circumstances, etc. I am fortunate enough to be a part of a caring community of women in my small country church who do just that. I think of how women were so important to the ministry of Jesus. So, yes, we go together- we are women of God.

    • Thank you, Madeline. I love those words from Ruth so much too! The gift of supportive women in our lives is such a grace. I’m so glad you have found this in your church!

  2. Oh my gosh Laura what a beautiful reminder to start my week. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful story! I feel like I was sitting right next to you as you spoke of the memories and women in your life as a 22yr old volunteer in France.
The book of Ruth has always touched my heart \0/
    Have a blessed Monday sisters..

  3. Laura – this is simply beautiful! And every woman is beautiful. God is beautiful. As you stated, “the bond between women of faith and remake the world around us”. And make it beautiful. Thank you.

    • Amen, Linda! Thank you so much for this. What a powerful reminder that our beauty as women reflects God’s own beauty.

  4. Thank you, Laura, for sharing your beautiful story. What a sweet reminder of our human commonalities. We are all created by God, with incredible value and worth. He has blessed us with community as a means to lift each other up. Every one of us has something wonderful to offer through our interactions and exchanges with each other. Blessings, sweet sister!

    • Beautifully said, Tracy! We each are given gifts to share with each other. I always think this is one of the most powerful ways that the Holy Spirit builds us up into community.
