  1. Oh so true! This fits perfectly with my new word for this year- Connected. Lord, who would you have me reach out to today?

  2. I love this! May we all be seeking His Presence (my word of the year) and offer our presence to those in our path that need the smile, encouraging words, rolled up sleeves helping hand & to deeply know His presence also. It’s what He’s called us to! Blessings!

  3. Four years ago I was dealing with MRSA after surgery and it required 3 more surgeries plus home health care. My friend Marg stepped in to help get our disorganized and disorderly house fit for visiting nurses but also has continued to help us get the house to the point where we’ve been able to undertake renovations to most of it. Without her ministering to us in this way, we too would still be stuck. This is her way of blessing others and I’m so grateful to God for our friendship.

  4. Melissa, I love this: “I know now that when I ask for help or offer it, I’m partaking in important community work.” Thank you!!

  5. Connectedness and memories! When just a girl, mum would take me along to visit people in our church, they would always have tea and long conversations far too grown up for me, however it was there within the home’ when lovingkindness was past to me. I’m turning 55 in a few months, the small things big things are entrusted gifts from people to God that span our entire lives. Gods way of grace is always seeking joyfully to fill our need. Thank you Melissa for inspiring us, God Bless

  6. Melissa,

I often offer help to others. On Fridays I go to Loaves & Fishes food bank & help out with anything they need. It is my way of contributing to the needs of others. Also it takes the focus off me for a while.
