  1. These are my favorite trust and waiting verses I have collected over the years to refer to when I need these reminders, just like today’s post is a reminder when it is sometimes hard to trust and wait! Especially the waiting!

    Proverbs 16:20b
    And whoever trusts in the LORD, happy is he.

    Psalm 5:11a
    But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You.

    Psalm 18:2 The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer;
    My God, my strength, in whom I will trust;
    My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

    Isaiah 26:3 You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.

    Psalm 31:14-15a
    “But as for me, I trust in You, O LORD; I say, “You are my God.”
    My times are in Your hand;”

    Psalm 36:7 How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings.

    Proverbs 3:5-6
    Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
    And lean not on your own understanding;
    In all your ways acknowledge Him,
    And He shall direct your paths.

    Psalm 34:8 Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good;
    Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!

    Lamentations 3:26
    It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.

    Psalm 62:1, 5
    Truly my soul silently waits for God;
    From Him comes my salvation.
    My soul, wait silently for God alone,
    For my expectation is from Him.

    Psalm 27:14
    Wait on the LORD;
    Be of good courage,
    And He shall strengthen your heart;
    Wait, I say, on the LORD!

    Isaiah 40:31
    They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles. They shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

  2. A thousand Amen’s to all of you!!!!we are living proof of His unfailing love and mercy or He would have destroyed us all many years ago and been done with us. But instead He made a way where there was no way and we can rejoice and be glad.

  3. I was sitting here having a pity party by myself and fretting and whining, etc. And then I read this. So timely. I read the words and I can breathe again. Out of the depths I cry to You! That tightness in my chest is lessened.

  4. In Courage,

    God is up to something today. First off heard a sermon on hope & now reading this blog about hope. He is trying to tell me something. One verse used this A.M. was James 1:6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. He said hope is what we put our energy into. To have hope we must change our view. Hope is active participation in life. True hope is putting yourself in a positive feed back loop. Hopelessness is linked to living in a negative feed back loop.

    I feel a lot of people who think they don’t have any hope in their situation either don’t attend church/watch TV preachers or have no knowledge of Jesus Christs’ saving grace. We need to get the message out there quickly. People need to see more of Jesus in our lives. Then they, too, can have the hope that we have.

    Blessings 🙂

  5. Lord God, I need Your favour. Lord Gid, I need Your grace. Lord God, You are sovereign, speak and deliver me from this storm for nothing can override Your command. You only are omnipotent. You only are omnipresent. You only are omniscient. Nothing is impossible for You. Lord, have mercy. Commander of the wind and waves, hear my prayer and deliver me from the storm I’m facing today. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
