Thankful for You

I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

It is right for me to feel this way about all of you, since I have you in my heart and, whether I am in chains or defending and confirming the gospel, all of you share in God’s grace with me. God can testify how I long for all of you with the affection of Christ Jesus.

And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.
Philippians 1:3-11 (NIV)

Happy Thanksgiving, friends!

On this day we’ve set aside for taking stock, for counting blessings, for gathering and hugging and sharing (and eating all the carbs we can fit on one plate!), we also want to set aside a moment with you.

We are so very thankful for you. Those of us working behind the scenes of (in)courage, those of us sharing our words and our stories — we never once take it for granted that you show up in this place, inviting us into your inboxes and your lives, sharing your own stories and hearts.

Thank you for being part of this community. Thank you for being, as Paul says in the passage above, our partners in the gospel. We know He will complete the good work He’s begun in you, and we pray that your love and ours will abound more and more.

    This may seem strange, but I’m thankful for my job-even though I get to work today & Christmas. It is one of the best jobs I’ve ever had. Co-workers are friendly & caring. There are so many things to be thankful for this year. Even though death has hit our family this week. I’m thankful this person no longer has to suffer anymore. He is in the presence of Almighty God. Thankful to everyone here.
