  1. Chrystal,
An analogy came to mind when I read your post. Our life is like a beautiful blank coloring page. We can create, and be free to use all the colors we like, and enjoy the freedom and pleasure of freely coloring….all God asks us to do is stay inside the lines. G.K. Chesterton likens God’s commands to a fortress built around us. (thanks for the reference Michele) He builds the walls – the boundaries for our protection. We can live, and grow, and dance within the safety of it’s walls…..He just warns us not to go outside the walls for our own protection. God’s commands are always for our good, not to squelch our fun. But, when we do color outside the lines or venture outside the fortress walls, His mercy and love pursue us, scoop us up, dust us off, forgive us, and place us back inside His boundaries of love. Oh what a patient God we have filled with lovingkindness. Lovely!
    Blessings,
    Bev xx

  2. The truth that God’s mercy is new every morning has gotten me through a lot of stumbling and falling through the years, and His grace picked me back up every time!

My book First Breath of Morning – Where God Waits For You Every Day – A 90 Day Devotional comes out on the exact same day the (in) courage Devotional Bible comes out! So exciting!

  3. Chrystal,

People rush rush rush around these days. So much that we miss God’s goodness right in front of us. Not many stop to notice the sunrises or sunsets, beautiful flowers or the many other things He places in our view. I believe that is one trick Satan uses to distract us from God. He takes our focus off the good things we have & puts out there the many things we don’t. What Satan doesn’t say is that in following him there are super consequences.
Some of our own problems–health issues, divisiveness, crime can all be attributed to sin. We need to take the time to count our many blessings & stop looking at what we don’t have. Our focus should be on God & His great love for us. Sure God has rules any good parent would. Those are for our own good. His discipline shows us His mighty love for us.

    Blessings

  4. Praise God for the covering he’s provided through the blood of his Son. Praise him also for covering us with love and wisdom as we move forward. And praise him his love is always aimed at our highest good. Thank you for the hope and uplift of these words, Chrystal!
