What a wonderful season! It’s over all too soon, isn’t it? To help prepare our hearts for Christmas this past month, we’ve been sharing promises — 25 total — on our Instagram and Facebook pages. It’s been a beautiful way to begin each day, and we’re just not quite ready to let it go yet. So to help us remain full of Christmas spirit even and long after the day has come and gone, here are a few of our favorites! If you’d like to print them, feel free to right-click each image and save to your computer.
Pour yourself a cup of holiday-blend tea or coffee, take a seat in your comfiest chair, and let your heart be light as you take in these Promises of Christmas:
The Promise of Rest
Come to Me… and I will give you rest. My yoke is easy and My burden is light.
Matthew 11:28, 30
The Promise of Friendship
I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from My Father I have made known to you.
John 15:15
Friends. Jesus went first so we could see true, faithful friendship lived out. He promises us His friendship and is generous and gracious enough to send us friends in our own communities, too. Who has been such a dear friend to you? We’d love to hear about them!
The Promise of Faithfulness
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
Hebrews 13:8
There is power and redemption in faithfulness. How have you seen the powerful faithfulness of the Lord? We would love to hear your story.
The Promise of Every Need Met
My God will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:19
All your needs. Not one or two, not sometimes, not once in a while, not a handful… He says all our needs. In a season when most voices are yelling about all that we need, all that they need, He quietly whispers to our hearts that He has the riches we truly need. And we can trust Him to provide.⠀
The Promise of Joy
The joy of the Lord is your strength.
Nehemiah 8:10
If you missed any of the other promises from this series of 25, catch up anytime on Instagram with #incouragechristmas! We hope your Christmas celebrations are still in full swing, and that you’re allowing peace and joy to wash over your heart long after the wrapping paper is thrown out.
After all, there’s no end to celebrating the very best promise of all — the love of Jesus.

Thank you for sharing the promises. Sometimes after all the hustle and bustle ends, depression or a feeling of being down tries to come in. These promises are a wonderful reminder of the love Jesus has for us. I appreciate this ministry. May 2018 be the best year yet for everyone. God bless you.

What a beautiful reminder. On this extremely cold, and very quiet day this was such a perfect read. I struggle after everyone has gone home, but this helps me remember the joy and love I felt during the past month. Thank you for your daily posts that always brighten my day! – Susan

In Courage,
Have a blessed New Year & thanks for all you do!! I love these promises. If we would be filled with the Holy Spirit then we can have joy in our lives. God freed us from slavery-slavery of things, to-do lists, etc. so that we could have Sabbath rest & worship Him. So grateful that He is ever faithful. He never leaves nor forsakes us. We just have to turn to Him & pray. He is always there for us.
Praising God for you all!!
